2010 Election Activities are Underway!


Thank you to all who came to our campaign kick-off event on Wed. night in Central Square! Special thanks to~
  • Mac D'Alessandro, candidate for US Congress in the 9th Congressional District
  • Tito Jackson, Political Director for the Deval Patrick/Tim Murray campaign, and
  • Tony Mack on behalf of the campaign to defeat the Sales Tax Reduction Ballot Initiative
We are primed and pumped and ready to get out and talk to voters about the campaigns that CSfC has endorsed. We'll hit the streets and phones throughout the summer leading up to the September 14th primary; and on into the busy fall season before the November 2nd election.

1. Tues. July 20th, 6-9pm
Phone Bank, RE/Max Destiny Realty 907 Massachusetts Avenue Come call your fellow CSfC members to help mobilize folks for the season of campaign activities.

2. Wednesday July 21st, 5:30-7:30pm
Deval Patrick Canvass, Somerville Come knock on doors to get infrequent voters to vote in November.

3. Wednesday July 28th, 6-9pm
Phone bank, location TBD Once we finish calling our own volunteers, we will be calling voters in the 9th district to identify supporters of Mac D'Alessandro.

4. Saturday July 31st, 10am*
21 in 21 for Mac" Canvass, Boston CSfC will join Mac D'Alessandro on the final day of his 21-day campaign tour through all 21 towns in the 9th Congressional District. On the 31st, Mac wants to send hundreds of volunteers to canvass in every Boston community in the district. Let's put CSfC feet on the ground for this strong progressive candidate! (*This is an all-day event, but the canvass starts at 10am in Dorchester. See the campaign's Facebook event for details.)

5. Monday August 2nd, 6-9pm
Phone bank, location TBD We'll call the 9th district without even leaving Cambridge-Somerville.

6. Thursday August 5th, 5:30-7:30pm
Mac D'Alessandro Canvass, Boston We will be coordinating with the D'Alessandro campaign to talk directly to voters in the district.

7. Lastly, please vote for Mac to be a "Democracy for America (DFA) All-Star." The DFA 2010 Grassroots All-Star Competition identifies the progressive challenger with the broadest support nationwide. The winner earns the title of "Grassroots All-Star," bringing lots of media exposure and grassroots resources to their campaign. The first round closes TODAY. Mac is in strong position in 6th place! It's just a click away - please vote for Mac now!

There's work to be done and the best way to do it is alongside your friends and neighbors. See you on the campaign trail!
